The Premier League will restart eight days after the 2022 World Cup final in a shake of calendar. The league’s bosses have been working on new ideas to prevent fixture congestion and increase revenue for clubs, with a decision expected soon.

There was a report that the 2019-2022 Premier League season would start on October 1st, eight days after the 2022 World Cup Final. The final is set to take place in November of that year and it has been reported by BBC Sport that if this date does not change, there will be concerns about fixture congestion during the summer break. There’s also concern over player fatigue from playing twice a week during international breaks. On top of all these issues, some argue starting later could help ensure more competitive fixtures towards the end of both seasons when teams are fighting for Europe or winning their respective leagues.

The “premier league table 2022/23” is a piece of information that can be found on the Premier League website. The eight days after the World Cup final will see the restart of the Premier League season.

The Premier League has announced that between the 2022 World Cup final and the start of English football’s top division in the 2022-23 season, there would be just an eight-day hiatus.

The changes to the calendar for next year were announced in a statement made on Thursday. The first winter World Cup was awarded to Qatar in a 2010 vote but was subsequently shifted to November and December owing to the country’s severe summer heat.

The Premier League has attempted to absorb the unusual adjustment in one season by beginning a week sooner — on Aug. 6, 2022 — and ending on May 28, 2023.

The Premier League will continue for 16 weeks until the weekend of November 12-13, when it will be interrupted by the international competition.

But, probably most importantly, after the World Cup final on Dec. 18, the Premier League will start on Boxing Day, only eight days later.

In past years, players could anticipate at least three weeks off to recuperate, but the World Cup’s location in the midst of the season next year has forced a change.

The World Cup will begin on November 21, giving national teams just a week to prepare their players before the event, as opposed to the typical three to four weeks.

Although it will be regarded as a necessary compromise, the Premier League rejected ideas for a biannual World Cup in a statement issued later on Thursday.

Arsene Wenger, FIFA’s director of global development, has advocated for such a change, which may entail reorganizing the calendar so that there is just one qualifying window every year, perhaps in October, rather than smaller international breaks throughout the season.

“All 20 Premier League clubs have examined the post-2024 International Match Calendar reform process and unanimously reject FIFA’s proposal for biannual men’s World Cups, as well as any proposals including considerably longer international windows,” the statement stated.

“Clubs expressed worry over FIFA’s present ideas’ detrimental effects on player welfare, spectator experience, pre-season preparations, and competition quality.”

“The Premier League is committed to preventing any radical changes to the post-2024 FIFA International Match Calendar that would adversely affect player welfare and threaten the competitiveness, calendar, structures, and traditions of domestic football,” said Premier League chief executive Richard Masters.

“We’re open to new ideas and changes, but they must improve the complementing balance between local and international football to develop the game at all levels.”

“In addition, substantial agreements with the leagues that supply the game’s underpinnings should be part of this process. We will continue to engage with fan groups, players, local and foreign stakeholders to identify solutions that are best for the long-term future of football.”

The “what date does the world cup start in 2022” is the question that many people are wondering. The answer to this question is that the World Cup will restart eight days after the final game on July 16th, 2022.
