We’ve all seen the comparisons between LeBron James and Kevin Durant. The two are similar in how they’re both 6’9″ approximately 185-pound guards who play for teams that have never won a title before. It’s not hard to see why people think their paths would cross down the line, but there’s one guard whose career is off to an even more impressive start than either of them: Ben Simmons has put up amazing stats over his first few seasons with Philadelphia while making it to three straight NBA All-Star games–and he just turned 22 years old! And Damian Lillard? He was taken 4th overall by Portland back in 2012, followed by being traded at age 24 – when other players were still struggling early on. McCollum joined him last year after spending time with Sacramento Kings where he played well considering the team had no real direction or talent around him. This article explores 3 reasons why these two young stars could be better fit together than CJ McCollum ever will be. Category: Soccer Introduction: As international soccer became globalized during this century, so too did its media coverage increase exponentially creating what some call “moneyball.” Today, countries outside North America generate large amounts of revenue from broadcasting rights which leads many experts predict that money generated here may soon grow into unprecedented heights through associations like FIFA World Cup 2026 (often called ‘the American bid’). With this new economical power comes increased scrutiny; things like racism and bigotry within football leagues are now front page news despite having been prevalent since before globalization existed according to studies done about European clubs playing against each other in pre-1992 matches including Spain beating England 8 consecutive times without any criticism whatsoever because ethnicities weren’t involved yet today such actions would draw heavy condemnation given recent history

Ben Simmons and Damian Lillard are both top players in the NBA, but who would you rather have? Simmons has 3 more wins than McCollum with only 0.0001% difference in win percentage-.001%. The numbers don’t lie-but what about their performances?

The “where is damian lillard from” is a question that has been raised many times. The “3 reasons Ben Simmons with Damian Lillard is better fit than CJ McCollum.”

Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have been the Portland Trail Blazers’ franchise cornerstone for more than half a decade.

The Blazers have the longest current postseason run in the NBA, yet have only made it to the Western Conference Finals once. Despite their evident potential, they’ve always lacked something that prevents them from challenging for a title.

Portland has made a number of changes recently, including replacing Gary Trent Jr. with Norman Powell, acquiring Robert Covington from the Houston Rockets, and appointing Chauncey Billups as the team’s new head coach. However, despite the new appearance, the franchise’s results seem to remain the same or even worse. As a result, it may be time for the Blazers to contact Daryl Morey and trade McCollum to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons.

Here are three reasons why teaming Simmons and Lillard with McCollum as a co-star may push Portland to new heights.

One of the top defenders in the NBA is Simmons.

The Blazers were consistently around the bottom of the NBA in defense throughout previous head coach Terry Stotts’ tenure. Lillard and McCollum, both diminutive guards, have never been recognized for their defensive prowess, owing to physical limitations as main and backup defenders.

Portland’s defense would improve instantly if McCollum was replaced by Simmons, because to the latter’s IQ and flexibility on the defensive end of the court. Last season, Simmons was runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, restricting players like Bradley Beal and Trae Young in the playoffs. If this trade goes through, a starting lineup of Lillard, Powell, Covington, Simmons, and Jusuf Nurkic for the Blazers would be pretty dangerous defensively.

Simmons is the component who will guard LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic in the playoffs if Portland makes a long run. Billups’ club now lacks a lockdown defender capable of making life difficult for opposing superstars.

Lillard-Simmons pick and roll is unstoppable.

Despite the fact that Simmons has been a point guard for the Sixers, he might go to power forward in Portland. Running pick-and-roll with Simmons at center in smaller lineups would be an unstoppable setup for Billups, who would be surrounded by three shooters on the wings and corners. Simmons’ ability to facilitate, finish, and respond fast on short rolls would provide the Blazers with a plethora of offensive options.

If defenders elect to trap Lillard, Simmons may play a point forward position for his club, comparable to Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors. Simmons, who is 6’10” and has excellent vision and floor general abilities, would be a huge help to a club in need of a playmaking forward. Even if he started at the four, Simmons could still play the one with Lillard on the bench, and he’s shown he can manage an offense at key moments in games.

On both ends, there’s a lot of flexibility.

Simmons, as previously said, brings a vastly different skill set to the table than McCollum. Because of Simmons’ adaptability, the Blazers’ supporting cast may be tweaked to fit their new star tandem. Because Lillard and Simmons are both willing passers, shooting would be valued much more.

Quality veterans like Powell and Covington are ideal additions to the team, but Portland should look for additional role players who can contribute on both sides of the floor. Lillard and McCollum provide less stylistic versatility to the front office than Lillard and Simmons. Simmons’ career may benefit from a change of scenery as he searches for a new home away from Philadelphia.
